Cristiano Ronaldo received a brilliant ovation after Juventus’ 1-0 win over his former club Manchester United. The Portuguese star didn’t score but set up Paulo Dybala for the only goal of the game.

Both sets of fans chanted “Viva Cristiano” as the player was the last one to leave the pitch. (Mirror)

Ronaldo responded by clapping and pumping his heart. The legend also had to deal with a pitch invader a few moments earlier. The Portuguese exhibited a grand gesture by taking a selfie with him.

This was Ronaldo’s second appearance at Old Trafford since leaving the club for Real Madrid. The Portuguese star joined Juventus at the start of the season and has been in great form for the Serie A giants.

The 33-year-old has five goals and four assists to his name from nine Serie A games this campaign.

The Old Lady were fantastic in their win over the Red Devils and we barely had a decent chance all night. Paul Pogba did hit the post with a shot but that was about it.

The loss keeps us second in the group as Valencia drew with Young Boys. Our next game is against Juventus in Turin. Hopefully, we will turn up better and get a point.
