Jose Mourinho is set to bring massive changes in the Blues squad this summer, the Portuguese manager has already completed the signing of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic and there are further more to move in and out of the club this summer.
According to the reports from the Sun, Mourinho wants Will Hughes to join him at United. The player who is currently in the books at Derby County will cost the Red Devils £7 million. United believe Hughes, 21, could be part of the first-team set-up before competing for a starting place in the future. Derby will demand £7million for Hughes and are likely to offer him a new deal, with his current contract expiring in two years’ time. A number of top-flight clubs have been tracking the England Under-21 star after three seasons as a regular with Derby.
Further Everton have tabled a bid of £20m for Juan Mata, however, if reports from Squawka is to be believed then the player is keen on a move back to Valencia. Mourinho has promised that every United player will be given a chance to impress him during pre-season training, but Mata accepts his playing time will be extremely limited if he stays at Old Trafford. Mata is preparing to leave United but does not want to be pushed into a transfer, with a number of clubs across Europe monitoring his situation. The Spaniard is surplus to requirements at United, especially with the side coming close to securing Mkhitaryan, and Ronald Koeman was hoping to persuade Mata to join him at the Toffees.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to undergo his medical at United ahead of making his move to the United on a permanent deal. Borussia Dortmund accepted United’s bid for the player over the weekend and the Armenian player is now set to head to the Old Trafford. It seems like the 27-year-old, who scored 11 goals in the Bundesliga last season, should sign on the dotted line soon and the medical is imminent for the playmaker.
