Manchester United beat West Ham United 2-1 at Boleyn Ground in the FA Cup quarter-final replay, with goals from Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini.

The Reds now march on towards the semi-finals to face Everton. Louis Van Gaal put on a squad which was criticized enough already before the game started but excelled away from home.

Manchester United still have a chance at glory this season as they now come closer to winning the FA Cup.

The fans were impressed with the result of this important fixture after being embarrassed by Tottenham on the weekend.

Here are the Manchester United player ratings from the match..

David De Gea: 9

De Gea was arguably the best player on the pitch. His heroics have become a daily routine. Three top-notch saves from the no.1 saved United yet again from going down.

Marcos Rojo: 4

The Argentine defender again played very poorly. He found it hard to get into the match and was easily beaten by the wingers. Also got booked in the first-half.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah: 7

The youngster showed signs of improvements again in such an important match. His aggression and tackling are effective and impressive to see. Given more time and experience, he can be an important asset to the club.

Chris Smalling: 7

Didn’t let the in-form Andy Carroll feel comfortable inside the box. The English defender took advantage of his physical abilities and won many aerial duels.

Dailey Blind: 6

Managed to defend well against a physically stronger side. The Dutch international read the game pretty well and made good passes up the pitch.

Michael Carrick: 7

Carrick surprisingly performed decently given his recent row of poor display. His passing was far better than recent weeks. His defensive contribution was much needed.

Marouane Fellaini: 7

Scored the second goal for United. The Belgian midfielder was pretty impressive against the Hammers and was the playmaker for the day in every right manner.

Ander Herrera: 6

His regaining of possession closer to West Ham’s goal resulted in the first goal. The Spanish playmaker had a decent time on the pitch in the first half but got looked out of composure later in the match and also got booked for bringing down Noble.

Jesse Lingard: 7

The winger did well to provide the team with width while attacking and delivered decent passes inside the box. Lingard  wasted an excellent chance in the first-half by failing to finish the ball on the keeper’s left.

Anthony Martial: 8

The consistent form continues to go on by the French forward. Martial assisted Rashford for his goal and was a helping hand in United’s second goal as well.

Marcus Rashford: 8

Marcus Rashford is at it again. The youngster scored a beauty, giving United a much needed lead to break the stalemate.

Substitutes:

Antonio Valencia: 6 (Rojo, 68’)

Morgan Schneiderlin: 5 (Herrera, 76’)
