In the recent weeks, Romely Lukaku has emerged as the favorite to join Manchester United in the summer. The whole media world has been discussing about the player’s future and the prospect of the Red Devils signing him in the summer.
The Belgian forward was let go from Chelsea by Jose Mourinho who is also another favorite to replace Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford and many suspected that the player will not like to play under the Portuguese again. Now as per Manchester Evening News Romelu Lukaku’s camp has spoken out and apparently the striker is open to joining United and reuniting with Jose Mourinho.
The 22-year old’s father Roger said last week that he wants his son to join either Bayern Munich or Manchester United. Many are considering Lukaku to be an ideal replacement for Wayne Rooney whose career seems to be in a downward spiral. United were interested in the player last summer but did not bid. Maybe it will change this time with such comments from the player mentioned below.
“When I was little, (Bayern and United) were two teams that impressed me by their offensive force.
“We’ll see what will happen. Anyway, it is always nice to be linked with such clubs, this is proof that they watch me. The rest is the business of my manager.”
“Some people will say that I need to convince him (Mourinho) but it’s not a question of that. Three years ago I was 20 and I wasn’t ready to be immediately effective in a top team.
“Several good seasons, including the current one, have changed the situation. I’ll be 23 (in May) and I could leave this summer.”
