WOW! United Reshaping Transfer Policy

Manchester United Transfers 2021-22

Manchester United were one of the clubs that spent less and delivered silverware consistently when Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge. It was real bang for a buck for the Red Devils then. Since the retirement of the legendary Scot United have spent an enormous £320 million in three years time.

The outcome? No silverware yet. David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal has together spent that money and have failed to deliver any trophy or even glitter of hope that the club will recover. All the while the managers had complete control over the player transfer which saw Louis Van Gaal trying to bring in more of Dutch and German players into the club.

Now Ed Woodward, the vice-chairman of Manchester United is reviewing and contemplating to change the transfer policies.  According to the Sun, the sporting directors are going to work on the deals more than the managers. Manchester City has adapted to similar process from 2012 and the Spanish clubs usually follow the same method. Will it be good for United? Until someone like Sir Alex Ferguson comes along, it should.
