3. MEMPHIS DEPAY, START OF BETTER THINGS FROM HIM MAYBE?
Memphis Depay has suffered a fair share of criticism in the past, with most people doubting his abilities and questioning his price tag. Dutch legend Ruud Gullit even criticised the former PSV Eindhoven wonder kid for excessive showoff, asking him to stop bringing expensive cars to team practices. However, the young man continues to impress on the field, and last night he showed again why he is worth waiting for. He was brought on to inject pace into a United side, and he did just that, taking on defenders and shooting at the near post time and again. It was he, ultimately, who has fouled inside the box and Rooney scored the winning penalty from it. Let’s hope he continues to grow like this!
