Manchester United Target Could Sign New Deal – Why Moyes Should Make A Move

According to talkSPORT, Barcelona have opened talks with forward Pedro over a new contract. The news will come as a huge blow for Manchester United fans, as the Red Devils had previously been linked with the winger. It doesn’t mean a deal to Old Trafford is necessarily dead in the water, though it certainly clouds any potential deal. But if he did happen to arrive in Manchester, what would David Moyes be getting?

As a result of his slight frame and rapid acceleration, Pedro has thrived in the wide areas at Barcelona. He is a winger who can play on both sides though he is primarily a left-sided player, and he can also drift into the central areas.

His passing is one of his main attributes – he has completed over 86% of his passes in the 32 games that he has played this season (La Liga and Champions League), and has claimed eight assists in the process.

He also provides goals though, which is something that United don’t necessarily need, but could do with from the flanks. Pedro has scored 14 goals this season to date.

With the likes of Nani, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia continually questioned by United fans, a fresh face to link up with the likes of Adnan Januzaj is just what they need in my eyes. Should the Spaniard be available in the summer then I suggest that Moyes goes for him.
