RoShaun Williams is a youth player at Manchester United who was brought into the under-18 team as a centre-back in 2014. He has been at the club since the age of nine.

The then 15-year-old player played a key part in the U-18 team while still being a U-16 schoolboy, forming a great partnership with his fellow centre-back, Axel Tuanzebe.

RoShaun progressed quickly to U-21 team in the beginning of the 2015/16 season. He became a regular centre-back for the team.

The 17-year-old was listed as a sub for the first team in the FA Cup this season against West Ham but was unused.

He is an athletic defender whose sprinting ability was well known locally, even before he had even made a real mark at Under-18 level in Manchester United. The centre back is famous for his pace, having beaten Olympic gold medalist Darren Campbell’s 25-year-old school sprinting record in 2014.

The teenager is just the latest product from the United’s Youth Academy to receive a call-up this season to the senior team after the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson were given their chances earlier in the season.

RoShaun has been backed up many including Nicky Butt as a promising player and a future star at Manchester United. He has progressed quickly at an early age through different stages at the club.

The 17-year-old has also represented his national side (England) at Under-16 and Under-18 levels.

He has made a total of 67 appearances at different levels. Being a centre-back, RoShaun has however managed to score one goal and assist twice while also being a wall at the defense line.
