Manchester United are interested in signing Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach
Manchester United are keen on signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Kone in the summer. The French player’s representatives have approached the club for a transfer. Premier League rivals including Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Fulham are keeping tabs on the midfielder, per GiveMeSport (via HITC).
The Toulouse academy graduate joined the Bundesliga side in 2021, and he has become an important player for the German club with his performances. The 23-year-old midfielder has scored six goals and provided four assists in 85 appearances for the club in a three-year journey.
He has established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most accomplished midfielders with his performances for the German club. The box-to-box midfielder has helped the club in both attacking and defensive phases and the player has also proved his ability to play multiple positions in the middle of the park.
The French youth international is currently competing in the Olympics for the French national team under Thierry Henry. He has two more years contract with the Bundesliga side, but he is set to move from Germany in the summer. Multiple Premier League clubs, including United, have shown interest in signing him in the current transfer window.

United needs to bolster the midfield department before the new season, and they haven’t made any signings in the department so far. Erik ten Hag has
suffered from underwhelming performances of United midfielders in the previous season and the Dutch manager is set to make some major changes in the squad for his new start at Old Trafford.
United are set to revamp the midfield this summer. The Red Devils were heavily interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s young midfielder, Manuel Ugarte, but it seems like the club has shifted their focus away from the Uruguayan international.
The club only have less than a week for their Community Shield match against Manchester City, and the Red Devils have to bolster the squad before the Premier League season starts. United are also keen on signing Kone from Monchengladbach for £20m, but the club will face heavy competition from the Premier League clubs to acquire his signature. Kone was labelled ‘phenomenal’ by Schwarzer.
