Manchester United have received a joint bid for Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Galatasaray
According to Turkish news outlet Milliyet, Manchester United have received a double transfer bid for Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Turkish champions Galatasaray.
Galatasaray are looking to bolster their squad for next season as they prepare for Champions League adventure. Manchester United duo Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka feature in their summer transfer wishlist, as manager Okan Buruk aims to retain the Super Lig title.
Okan Buruk has made the signing of the Manchester United pair a priority for the upcoming summer transfer window. Milliyet reports that the package that Galatasaray have offered is worth just €25 million for both McTominay and Wan-Bissaka.
McTominay, 27, has made over 250 appearances for Manchester United since gaining promotion from the academy. The Scot proved himself to be a huge goal threat for Erik ten Hag’s side in the past campaign, chipping in with 10 goals in 43 appearances.
The central midfielder’s current contract at Old Trafford expires in 2025 but the club hold the option of triggering a one-year extension to maintain his market value. The Red Devils have already activated the same one-year option for McTominay’s teammate, Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bissaka lost his starting right-back spot to Diogo Dalot since Ten Hag’s arrival at Man United in 2022. Owing to an injury crisis at the back, he was forced to operate at left-back in the second half of 2023/24 campaign. Due to inconsistency and injury issues, the ex-Crystal Palace man’s stock has significantly tumbled in the last two years.
Although both McTominay and Wan-Bissaka haven’t been regular starters, Man United will want to make a decent amount of money if they decide to sell the duo this summer. Galatasaray’s joint €25 million offer for two Premier League-proven, experienced players is incredibly low, to say the least.
