Erik ten Hag has concluded what was a difficult season at the club owing to their worst finish in the campaign in the Premier League, complemented by the fact that many supporters did not relate to the current style of play at disposal at the club.

Many supporters suggest that Erik should be given more time, as he played in an injury-plagued squad throughout the season. However, the new ownership of Ineos wants to hire a new coach at the helm, per French outlet Le10Sports. Finding a new coach might be a problem as of now, which could accelerate the probability of ETH continuing at United.
Despite the dry managerial market, the club has already taken concrete steps, vying for a new face at the helm. They are looking at England manager Gareth Southgate, who could join the club following England’s European Championship campaign this summer.
This is not the first time Southgate’s name has been mentioned in the media, citing links to the Manchester Reds. Alongside Gareth, the club is also looking at former Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto de Zerbi.
