Altay Bayindir appreciates Bruno Fernandes for his display against Finland
Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes came off the bench to score a brace and help Portugal kick off their 2024 European Championships’ preparation with a 4-2 win against Finland on Tuesday in Lisbon.
The creative midfielder, 29, who was one of the five substitutions at half-time, netted Portugal’s third with a fine curling effort into the upper corner of the net from the edge of the box in the 55th minute.
After Finland pulled things back with two goals within five minutes through substitute Teemu Pukki, thanks to a complacent Portugal defence, Bruno Fernandes sealed the deal with a close-range strike late on.
Following Portugal’s win over Finland, Fernandes posted on Instagram a photo of himself with the caption: “Bom primeiro teste de preparação para o que aí vem” Plenty of fans commented and congratulated him on the post.
Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir commented with fire and heart emojis on the Instagram post to appreciate the 29-year-old’s dazzling display for Portugal against Finland on Tuesday.
Altay Bayindir, 26, is currently contracted to Man United after joining from Fenerbahce last season. He struggled for game time and managed just one appearance in the FA Cup against Newport County, having to fight for his place against our team’s No.1 Andre Onana.
Despite barely featuring for the Red Devils in his first season, the Turkish shot-stopper seemingly gets along with his teammates. Bayindir’s appreciation for Fernandes on Instagram shows how expressive he is off the pitch. As for Fernandes, it won’t be a stretch to claim that he is adored by his teammates and fans alike.
