Guardiola highlights Bruno Fernandes’ influence as United look to topple City

Manchester United are set to play Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the acclaimed FA Cup finale later today, and the Spaniard has spoken about one United ace who can make a massive blow to the Cityzens double hopes: Bruno Fernandes. 

A rematch awaits, and revenge awaits as Wembley hosts a pair of Manchester clubs in the Emirates FA Cup for the second successive season. Last time around, the sea of blue triumphed over the Red Devils, and they would be looking for a sprinkle of FA Cup magic and the unwavering spirit of Old Trafford to back them into making one of the most acclaimed upsets in recent history. 

It is a difficult feat to beat the city neighbours, especially considering their recent title win, making it four successive Premier League championships in a row. 

Can Fernandes Be United’s X-factor against City’s double dream?

Speaking ahead of the FA Cup final, Pep Guardiola lauded four United stars who can make a lasting blow to City’s bid for a win later today. He acknowledges them as runners, insisting they can cover wide spaces in no time and can make a difference. The former Bayern Munich boss says Garnacho, Rashford, Hojlund, and Bruno Fernandes can be a problem for City while highlighting the quality of the Portugal midfielder. 

Speaking ahead of the FA Cup final, Pep Guardiola said (via. Beanyman Sports):

“They have the runners. The actions of the brilliant players they have up front. Garnacho, Rashford, Hojlund, and, of course, Bruno Fernandes. When he has the ball, everything happens.”

“The influence from Bruno on that team is outstanding and unbelievable. I saw the last few games, and I said, ‘This guy is… His creativity is one of the best I’ve ever seen’. They have experience too.”
