Spurs among clubs monitoring Manchester United star Marcus Rashford situation after Euros snub
According to a recent Telegraph report, Tottenham Hotspur are part of the group of clubs looking at the possibility of signing Manchester United star Marcus Rashford this summer.
The England international has received a massive blow to end what has been a disappointing season, having been left out of Gareth Southgate’s 33-man provisional squad from which 26 will be picked for UEFA Euro 2024.
After his 30-goal season last time round, many expected Rashford to build upon those performances, but that has not been the case. The 26-year-old, much like Man United, has been mostly underwhelming throughout the season, getting criticism for not only his returns in front of goal but also his effort on the pitch off the ball.
Rashford’s Spurs links arrived not too long after United’s failed pursuit of Harry Kane over the past few years, who ultimately went to Bayern Munich last summer.
United are looking to offload a fair few players this summer ahead of a proper reset next season, and Rashford is expected to be part of the list of players the new United sporting ownership is willing to let go.
Apart from Spurs, PSG and Chelsea are the other two clubs being lined strongly with Rashford, who is expected to make the Man United squad for the FA Cup final this Saturday.
Both Rashford and United need a change
It has been eight seasons since Marcus Rashford arrived on the scene.
In that time, much like United, Rashford has blown more cold than hot, with few brilliant seasons punctuating rather average ones.
Having an academy product in their setup is very crucial for a club like United, but it is fair to say Rashford hasn’t been justifying the £300k-a-week contract he currently has by virtue of his numbers in front of goal.

Rashford needs a change of air. United need a change of air. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world if both came to a decision to part ways amicably for the sake of their own respective journeys towards improvement.
