Marcus Rashford reacts to being left out of England’s squad for the EUROs
The England national team confirmed their provisional squad for the 2024 EUROs and Marcus Rashford is nowhere to be found. The 26-year-old has been cut from Gareth Southgate’s team despite having 60 caps for his country.
Rashford made his debut for England back in 2016 as an 18-year-old since then he has scored 17 goals for his country. During the 2022 World Cup, the Manchester-born star played all five games for England scoring three goals in the process.
However, it has all been downhill for 26-year-old Rashford this season. He has failed to meet his usual standards and as a result, both Manchester United and him have suffered to produce any results at all.

In response to being dropped from the team. Rashford responded to being dropped by wishing all the best to England coach, Gareth Southgate and his teammates via Instagram.
Rashford played some of his best football last season scoring a total of 30 goals while recording 10 assists in 56 games. However, this season has been an absolute disaster and the 26-year-old has struggled to hit double digits.
The Manchester-born star has had the same flair about his game, he can still penetrate defences and produce wonderful moments on the pitch. However, consistency has been a massive issue for Marcus Rashford lately.

For the time being, the 26-year-old will be watching the EUROs from the comfort of his home. If improvements don’t come about next season, we might not see Marcus Rashford make another international appearance for the foreseeable future.
