Sofyan Amrabat puts out confident Instagram post as Man United loan spell nears end
Sofyan Amrabat put out a confident Instagram post after featuring in Man United’s last game of the Premier League season on Sunday.
The Red Devils finished what has been one of the worst seasons in their recent history with a 2-0 away win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Goals from Diogo Dalot (73′) and Rasmus Højlund (88′) ensured United hit the 60-point mark in the league despite having their lowest-ever finish in the table (eighth).
Having struggled most of the season while on loan at Old Trafford, the Fiorentina midfielder has recently returned to Erik ten Hag’s starting eleven and has been putting up respectable performances.
As he looks forward to the FA Cup final game against Man City this week, as he mentioned in his Instagram post, Amrabat is likely to make the starting XI given his form and United’s injury list.
However, recent reports suggest he has not done enough to convince United to make his move permanent in the summer.
Amrabat will have suitors next season
United may choose to not make Amrabat’s move permanent, but with his recent performances the Moroccan international has ensured his reputation takes an upward trajectory right before the opening of the summer transfer window next month.
This upward trajectory will ensure that he will be looked upon as a viable prospect by many a side ahead of next season.
Moreover, United have firmly established themselves in recent years as the club where any talent, however big in potential and pedigree, can disappear into thin air. Casemiro is the latest example of this with his recent struggles, with Jadon Sancho, currently back at Dortmund on loan, has proved that only a few months away from Old Trafford is all one needs to start feeling good about life again.
