A goal each from Diogo Dalot and Rasmus Hojlund helped Manchester United finish off their Premier League campaign with a win. While it was the team’s last PL game of the season, it could prove to be the final PL game for a few players.

One of those players is Raphael Varane. The Frenchman will be leaving the team as a free agent this summer. Varane’s contract runs out at the end of the season and it has already been confirmed that he will not be extended. It’s a little disappointing that the Red Devils will not be able to recoup any amount of the £41m they spent on Varane.

As Varane took the ground to play one final game for Man United the emotions were running high. Following the victory he took to Instagram to send a farewell message to the PL and his fans. The Frenchman celebrated one final PL win together with the fans and is ready for their trip to Wembley.

Diogo Dalot who has worked closely with his fellow defender Varane got emotional as he reacted to his farewell message. The Man United defender couldn’t even bring himself to write a message and left a crying emoji with a heart in the Frenchman’s comment section.

The fans will be hoping that this is not the last win they get to celebrate with Varane though. The team will be playing in the FA Cup finals against Man City on 25th May. A win will help them punch their ticket to the Europa League.

It will also be an appropriate way to send off all the players who will be leaving Old Trafford this summer. So, Varane and his mates will be expected to be at their best.
