Pundit’s comments could make Erik ten Hag reconsider his stance on Man United loanee
There has been a lot of talk surrounding the future of Manchester United loanee, Jadon Sancho. The 24-year-old has completely revitalized himself during his loan spell with his old club Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho’s stellar performance in the Champions League has helped the German giants proceed to the finals of the tournament. It could be a fairytale ending for the team since Marco Reus is also set to depart Dortmund at the end of this season.
In a few days time, Sancho could become a European Champions, something that United haven’t done in 16 years. Emmanuel Petit had some choice words for the player that could prompt Erik ten Hag to reconsider his stance. Let’s have a look. (h/t Grosvenor Sport)
“He’s back to his best and Man United look so far away from them, so if Arsenal want him, why not? You can put the best player in the world at Man United at the moment and they’d look average in two months.”
Petit also said that Sancho looks like a thin player as he pointed out his stellar fitness and explosiveness. The pundit suggests that Man United should let Arsenal have the 24-year-old.
However, the club will likely not want to strengthen their rivals. While Erik ten Hag would prefer to keep Sancho out of the team, he is also in desperate need of a player of the English winger’s quality.
Not one player in the Dutchman’s squad can have the impact that Sancho has had on Borussia Dortmund. Instead of looking to make a quick sale the Red Devils should start to consider the possibility of retaining the 24-year-old.
