Manchester United star, Kobbie Mainoo is nominated for PL Goal of the Month
Manchester United star, Kobbie Mainoo couldn’t be happier about his recent nomination for Premier League Goal of the Month. His absolute banger against Liverpool in April has earned him the nomination.
April was an abysmal month for the Red Devils and the team could only win two of the six games they played. However, Mainoo’s goal was a cause for celebrations and could very well have hampered the efforts of Liverpool who were closely contesting for the PL title at that time.
Happy with his achievement Mainoo took to Instagram to react to his nomination for the award. He reposted a video of his goal which was originally uploaded by the official Premier League account.
Manchester United have had a terrible campaign during the 2023/24 season. However, the emergence of young stars like Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund is definitely a cause for celebration.
At the age of 19, Mainoo has also earned himself a call to the England national team and is expected to be a part of the squad for the 2024 EUROs. The Red Devils truly have a gem on their hands with 19-year-old Mainoo.
As long as he continues to get minutes he should develop nicely and can even grow into a superstar at Old Trafford. However, the toughest part of his journey is now upon him and the 19-year-old needs to focus on staying fit and consistent.
