Manchester United are eyeing a move for €70m-rated Juventus star
As reported by Italian publication Calciomercato, Manchester United are in the frame to sign €70m-rated Juventus star, Gleison Bremer. United have been long-time admirers of the 27-year-old Brazilian.
The Red Devils have struggled a ton this season and a lot of that can be credited to the poor job done by the team’s defensive line. They don’t really have a lot of quality there anymore and the players who can play well are often injured.
One of their best defenders, Raphael Varane was not his usual self and struggled with injuries throughout. Another star the team desperately missed this season was Lisandro Martinez who went down to long injuries on two different occasions.
Seeing as many of the team’s defensive options can’t be trusted to play through an entire season some reinforcements are necessary. As Varane is expected to move on the team will likely be replacing him with Bremer.
The 27-year-old has a release clause of €70m according to Calciomercato. This is a very intriguing figure for Manchester United. However, Bremer’s release clause can’t be activated before 2025.
So, the Red Devils might just have to break the bank and negotiate a price with Juventus. Bremer is a strong and intelligent defender, adding him to the lineup will instantly increase the squad’s quality.
