Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are expected to butt heads for the signature of ‘Messinho’

As reported by Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are two among many clubs who want to sign 16-year-old Estevao Willian. The young winger has recently come to light and is expected to be the next big player out of Brazil.

His dribbling is somewhat reminiscent of Argentina legend, Lionel Messi. In fact, the 16-year-old’s game takes so much inspiration from the player that he has been dubbed as ‘Messinho’ which loosely translates to “Little Messi”.

Clearly, there is something special about the Brazilian and his stats at just 16 years of age show us why he’s so highly rated. Estevao has made 11 appearances this season recording five goals and three assists for his team.

These numbers are not normal for a 16-year-old kid and it is clear to see he has an extremely high ceiling. What’s important for Estevao is to pick a place that will help him develop his game and take the next step.

When it comes to development, Man United might not be the place for him. The team hasn’t produced any world-class talents in quite some time now. Paris Saint-Germain on the other hand made Kylian Mbappe.

Sure, the Frenchman was world-famous even before he signed a deal with PSG. However, it was the French side that allowed him to reach the next level. So Paris might seem like a better destination for the 16-year-old.
