Chris Sutton backs Bournemouth to do the double over Manchester United
Up next in the Premier League, Manchester United are set to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday night at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries came out victorious 3-0 in the reverse fixture, when the two sides met at Old Trafford in December. In a largely forgettable encounter, we were second best in almost all departments that night.
Man United are still trying to make a late push for the Champions League places despite being injury-ridden and 11 points off Spurs in fourth.
Bournemouth, on the other hand, are sitting pretty in the middle of the league table with 41 points, Iraola having impressed in his first season in England, having arrived from Rayo Vallecano last summer.
Former footballer Chris Sutton, writing in his BBC Sport column, has backed Andoni Iraola’s men to again beat Erik ten Hag‘s side.
“Bournemouth were brilliant when they won 3-0 at Old Trafford in December, so can they do the double over United? I think they will.”

It’s not impossible
Unlike United, Bournemouth have demonstrated some semblance of consistency in Iraola’s debut season in England. With their consistency off the ball and a clinical striker in Dominic Solanke, Bournemouth have gone on to secure another year of Premier League football.
Despite having not much else to play for, Iraola will not want to sit on his laurels and just let United have a go. Expect Bournemouth to be keen to do the double over United on Saturday.

United, on the other hand, cannot afford to have the kind of performance they showed against the Cherries at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture. They need to get the three points at the Vitality to continue being in the contention for Champions League football next season.
