Manchester United target Joshua Zirkzee inclined towards making AC Milan move
Joshua Zirkzee would prefer to stay in Italy and move to AC Milan this summer, according to The Mirror and as reported by Eurosport.
The young Dutchman has been attracting interest on the back of his performances for an exciting Bologna side this season, who are remarkably looking to secure a Champions League spot for next season and currently lie fourth in the Serie A table with seven games left to play.
Man United and Arsenal have been the leading names from the Premier League looking to bring Zirkzee to England.
His former club, Bayern Munich, also have the chance to bring him back to the Allianz Arena for half of his current release clause. They could then look to either integrate him into the first team or flip him for a bigger profit.
In Italy, Milan have competition from Juventus for Zirkzee’s signature despite being his preferred destination. They are looking to sweeten their deal by offering £42.9 million along with letting Bologna make Alexis Saelemaekers’ move permanent. The Belgium international is currently on loan from the Rossoneri at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
United are better off looking elsewhere
As exciting a prospect as Joshua Zirkzee is, United are better off looking for other options. Surely, there are other players who are keen to play for United who can make a telling diofference.
Erik ten Hag has not shown much of an interest in experimenting with two-striker setups as a long-term solution at Old Trafford, and United also have other positions to reinforce ahead of next season.
