Erik ten Hag wasn’t too revealing with his answers when asked about the injury scares of Man United duo

Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag was not too revealing about the injuries suffered by his team’s star duo. First, Raphael Varane went down during the first 45 and didn’t come out to play the second half.

He was replaced by Jonny Evans who also took a knock and was substituted after just 21 minutes of action. Let’s have a look at what the Dutchman had to say about his players’ injury scares. (h/t BBC)

That’s all that Manchester United coach, Erik ten Hag had to say when asked about losing two of his most important defenders. He was rather quick to compliment himself and his team as the Dutchman stated that the quality of their football is very high.

Erik ten Hag might’ve confused the words shocking with high quality, because the way his team conceded two goals in stoppage time last night was shocking, to say the least. With Varane and Evans potentially out for an extended period the Red Devils now find themselves short on options.

Luckily for them, Lisandro Martinez is close to returning and should be involved in the upcoming games. Tyrell Malacia is also nearing a return and should offset the team’s injury struggles a little.

However, both of these players have been away from the game for an extended period and can’t be expected to be whole upon their return.
