Manchester United have decided on the future of Mason Greenwood
As reported by The Athletic (h/t The Sun), Manchester United have already triggered a one-year extension on the contract of Mason Greenwood. It is being reported that this move will allow him to sell the forward for a higher price.
While United have not said anything about his future, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has said in the past that he will be looking at a few factors before he decides. Is he a good player, a good person, and are they happy with him?
Everyone knows that Greenwood is an excellent player. He has recorded eight goals and five assists while on loan with Getafe this season. The Spanish side has been extremely happy with his performances.
On the other hand, Greenwood’s reputation has been marred ever since he was accused of sexual assault. Even though all charges against him have been dropped, the social media court has already dubbed him guilty.
If the Red Devils decide to bring him back, he will likely not be accepted by the crowd and the decision will be met with a lot of backlash. This has already happened in the past which is why the 22-year-old was shipped to Spain.
If the reports of Greenwood’s extension turn out to be true, then the team will most likely be preparing to move on from him this summer. The move will upset a few but should be accepted by the masses.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe probably doesn’t want any backlash during his first full season at United so the INEOS chief will likely play it safe and choose to move on from Mason Greenwood.
