Man United star is now at risk of missing their game against the Reds
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United skipper, Bruno Fernandes could end up watching from the sidelines when his team takes on Liverpool this Sunday. The Portuguese midfielder has racked up eight yellow cards this season.
If Fernandes ends up picking another two ahead of the team’s game against the Reds, he will automatically pick up a two-game ban. The 29-year-old skipper often wears his heart on his sleeve.
He can be seen moaning and bickering about every call the officials make and there are times when he even gets booked for his antics. Not a good example being set by the Manchester United skipper.
However, he now has a chance to redeem himself. Every game from this point forward is of the utmost importance to the Red Devils. Now, if Fernandes, their skipper ends up missing these games their chances of winning will go down.
So, the Portuguese midfielder needs to lead from the front and avoid getting booked. His contribution will play a big part in the Manchester United vs Liverpool game. Moreover, it will be a big stain on his leadership if he ends up missing two games due to his antics.
A lot of people criticise Erik ten Hag for making Bruno Fernandes his team’s skipper. The 29-year-old finally has an opportunity to show his leadership.
