Man United star gets put on blast for ‘jogging’ during Brentford’s equaliser.
Manchester United managed to get away with one point during their game against Brentford and they should consider themselves lucky that the Bees didn’t end up taking all three points away from them.
The Red Devils almost won the game thanks to a late goal by Mason Mount. However, Brentford were quick to equalise and Peter Schmeichel believes Aaron Wan-Bissaka is to be blamed for the late goal. Let’s have a look at what the former Red Devil had to say. (h/t Metro)
‘If you look at Wan-Bissaka on the Brentford goal, and this is what I mean by standards. Wan-Bissaka is out there to the left, the ball gets crossed and now look at him. He’s walking off, walking, walking, he’s jogging!’
Schmeichel also indicated that this is not the kind of level that Man United players should be playing at. He added that if Aaron Wan-Bissaka had just been concentrating the Bees wouldn’t have been able to equalise.
The former Red Devil also said that the Man United he knows have high standards. So, Erik ten Hag’s team has a lot to live up to. Wan-Bissaka might’ve helped Brentford equalise but he can’t be blamed for the draw.
Everyone from the attacking line all the way to the defensive line was abysmal. The team lacked energy and it is surprising to see that the Dutchman’s team still doesn’t have an identity.

Something needs to change if the team truly wants to play in UCL next season. As they are right now, they can forget about catching up to Aston Villa and might not even make the top five.
