Man United star could return against Brentford
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United goalkeeper, Altay Bayindir was spotted training on his lonesome this morning. The 25-year-old was missing from the squad during United’s FA Cup tie against Liverpool.
His being back in training could be a sign that Bayindir is edging closer to a return. The Turkish star has not been getting any minutes at all under Erik ten Hag. He has made just five appearances this season.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding Bayindir before he made the move to Manchester. It can be said that all those minutes spent on the bench are very harmful to the 25-year-old’s future.
Bayindir was making heads turn during his time with Fenerbahce. The Turkish goalkeeper made 145 appearances for the team and recorded a total of 44 clean sheets. A ton of promise is being shown by the 25-year-old.
However, we will not know the full extent of his footballing capabilities till Erik ten Hag gives him more opportunities to play. But, he will likely not be getting any because of Andre Onana.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper has slowly started to find his stride with the team. His downright hilarious mistakes from the first half of the season, almost seem like they’re gone now.
