Manchester United set to rival Real Madrid for 24-year-old OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka
According to the Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United are set to rival Real Madrid for OGC Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, who once was a part of Chelsea’s youth academy.
The 24-year-old joined PSG in 2019 and understandably, did not get much game time with the French giants. He spent a couple of seasons on the bench of OGC Nice but has broken through into the first team this season.
Bulka joined the French outfit from PSG initially on loan before the deal became permanent the following season. Francesco Fagioli has placed a lot of trust in the shot-stopper and given him a starring role this season.
Following Thibaut Courtois’ injury raven season, Real Madrid are aware that they might need to sign a new goalkeeper ahead of next season. Although Andriy Lunin has performed admirably well, his impressive form could see him receive interest from elsewhere.
Man Utd are another team interested in reinforcing the goalkeeping department. Andre Onana has established himself as the number one after a shaky start to life at Old Trafford. Atlay Bayindir is too good a player to be sitting on the bench.
If the Turkish international indeed leaves Man United, the club will be on the lookout for a new shot-stopper. This is where Marcin Bulka comes in. The former PSG player could be the perfect kind of option to replace Bayindir.
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Bulka is a talented player and could be a shrewd signing for Man Utd if they purchase him. However, competition from the likes of Real Madrid is never easy to contend with. The Spanish giants have a knack for signing players they want.

Bulka might want to move to a club where he is assured of regular game time. The 24-year-old shot-stopper might not want to come to Man Utd knowing that he is going to play second fiddle to Onana. Let’s wait and see how it goes.
