Manchester United have heavily been linked to Leeds United star, Archie Gray. The 18-year-old midfielder has been making a lot of waves for his performances with the Championship side, garnering interest from many top-flight clubs.
However, Gray might have other plans in mind. The 18-year-old recently shared some insight on his future goals while speaking to Sky Sports. Let’s have a look at what he had to say. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
“I want to try and win trophies with Leeds, that’s always what I’ve dreamed of as a kid.”
Gray added that apart from winning with Leeds he also wants to play and win with the England team. The 18-year-old recently received his first call-up for England’s U-21 squad, courtesy of Garret Southgate.
Southgate appreciates the player and says that he is doing very very well holding down the middle line, he also appreciates United’s Kobbie Mainoo. It seems like Gray will surely get to live his dream of playing for his country’s international team.
However, Manchester United might not get to sign the Leeds United star who seems to have his heart stuck with the Championship side. He would love to play in the Premier League but will likely try and earn his team a promotion to the top flight.
Moreover, there has been some about a new contract being cooked up for Gray by Leeds United.
