Manchester United will not be making a lot of moves for ‘big players’ says Sir Jim Ratcliffe
Manchester United part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has big ambitions for his team. He wants to take the Red Devils back to their glory days and that could begin with a lot of transfer moves being made during the summer.
However, as reported by The Guardian, Ratcliffe has said that the team will not be moving on players like Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe. The INEOS chief has other plans in mind for Manchester United.
Instead of signing superstars, Ratcliffe believes in making superstars. Here’s what he had to say when asked about signing superstars for the Red Devils.
“It’s not that clever buying Mbappé. Anyone could figure that one out. More challenging is to find the next Mbappé or next Bellingham or next Roy Keane.”
Ratcliffe mentioned that United have bought a lot of superstars in the last 10 years and we all know how that has worked out. He believes that his first step is to have the right people leading the club.
Afterward, Manchester United will be working on recruitment which the INEOS chief believes is key. So instead of trying to buy the big names, Ratcliffe is trying to make some big names come out of Old Trafford.
He already has Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, so the INEOS chief is already off to the right start.

Focusing on the development of their young players seems to be the way forward for the Old Trafford squad. However, this strategy can prove to be a colossal failure if the team’s efforts don’t bear fruit in the end.
