Manchester United star, Antony was absolutely pivotal to the Red Devils’ FA Cup win over Liverpool. United were able to equalise and make it 3-3 thanks to a banger scored by the Brazilian.

Antony has made 30 appearances this season, recording two goals and one assist for the Red Devils. From his stats, it is clear to see that the 24-year-old has been struggling this season.

His performance against Liverpool was badly needed. However, it could be because Antony’s been putting in some extra work in training. Let’s have a look at what the Brazilian had to say about his time at United. (h/t Goal.com)

“I have been working silently to evolve and show my football on the field. I have also been training my right foot, to make it better. I know my potential and I know why Manchester hired me.”

Antony added that his time at United has been a period of learning for him. The Brazilian says that he is aware of the price that the team paid for him and wants to pay them back.

Slowly but surely, the Brazilian has been getting better. All that work he’s been putting in training had definitely had an impact on his performance with the team. Hopefully, he can keep it going.

Antony may be improving but he doesn’t have a lot of time to show Manchester United how good he is. April is almost here and the season will be over soon, if the Brazilian doesn’t put up more big performances he could be sold during the summer.

If Manchester United are patient with Antony he could prove to be a solid signing for them. However, that will likely not be the case for the Brazilian.
