West Ham United forward, Jarrod Bowen picks Manchester United legend ahead of Fernando Torres and Sergio Aguero
Jarrod Bowen has been a thorn in the side of Manchester United this season. The 27-year-old has played a key role whenever his team faces off against the Red Devils and has even recorded one goal in two appearances against them this season.
However, Manchester United will be happy that Jarrod Bowen knows his history well. An Instagram interview of the West Ham Forward has been making the rounds. During the interview, the 27-year-old was blindly asked to rank five players in a top five list.
After picking Sergio Aguero at number two, Bowen instantly put United legend, Wayne Rooney at the number one spot. He was later asked to rank Fernando Torres, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Radamel Falcao. The three took the last three spots in that exact order.
While the list was surely filled with some legendary names, no one can deny that Rooney’s impact in the Premier League is unmatched. In 559 appearances for the Red Devils, the English striker recorded 253 goals and 145 assists.
Rooney also picked up a total of 15 trophies during his time with Manchester United. His count far triumphs over all of the other players on the list if we only count trophies won in England.
Rooney has tried to take the managerial route after his career as a professional player ended. However, that hasn’t worked out too well for the former Red Devil.
