Manchester United will take on Coventry City in the FA Cup Semi-Finals
Manchester United fought a long battle against Liverpool in the FA Cup Quarter Finals. Both sides were firing on all cylinders in what turned out to be a seven-goal thriller. However, it was the Red Devils who pulled ahead thanks to a last-minute winner by 21-year-old Amad Diallo.
Liverpool found themselves up 2-1 with ten minutes remaining in regular time. The most unusual candidate ruined the night for Klopp as Antony scored to make it 2-2. Then followed extra time goals by Harvey Elliot who made it 3-2 for Liverpool, followed by Marcus Rashford‘s equaliser for United.
Having overcome their first challenge, the Red Devils must now win two more games to win the FA Cup title. Their next game which will be the FA Cup Semi-Finals is all set to take place against Coventry City.
The last time the two teams faced off was also in the FA Cup back in 2007. Sir Alex Ferguson was at the helm back then and the world was stunned when his United fell to Coventry City in a 2-0 defeat.
The manager had switched out his team from the previous game which was a win against Chelsea. An entirely new squad was facing Coventry City and Ferguson paid the price. Fortunately, Erik ten Hag barely has any players and barely wins any games to run into that problem.
While Manchester United will be taking on Coventry, their local rivals Man City will be taking on Chelsea.
