A closer look at Harry Amass Manchester United’s new young left-back
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have signed Harry Amass to his first professional contract. The Red Devils chose the first possible day to make the deal happen which was the now 17-year-old’s birthday.
Amass is very highly rated at the club’s academy. He has made 18 appearances for the U-18 team this season and has recorded one goal and three assists for the team. Many believe that Amass will be one of the next to make a place in the Manchester United squad.
This season has been a disaster for the Red Devils. However, Manchester United’s youngsters have been their saving grace. The emergence of stars like Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho have been a big boost to the team.
Having academy players do so well on the big stage is a wonderful sight for the fans as well. Amass could be the newest to join the group of Academy players who have been helping United stay afloat.
Rasmus Hojlund and Amado Diallo are two more young players who have the potential to be huge for the Red Devils. Diallo even scored the winning goal for his team in the FA Cup Quarter Finals against Liverpool.
However, Harry Amass has just signed his contract with Manchester United. Depending on what moves the team makes this off-season, the 17-year-old could be sent out on loan.
