Manchester United could steal €117m star from Man City thanks to Dan Ashworth
As reported by Spanish outlet AS, Manchester United have the chance to steal a €117m star from local rivals Man City. Brazilian midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes is currently playing for Newcastle United, where Dan Ashworth serves as the sporting director.
However, Ashworth is expected to move to Old Trafford soon. Liverpool and Chelsea are also expected to be in the race for Bruno. Most importantly Man City rate the player very highly.
Pep Guardiola believes that the Brazilian is an excellent midfielder. He does an excellent job at holding down the ball and guarding his defensive line, an ability that is highly rated by many clubs.

Manchester United are also in need of a defensive midfielder. Their star, Casemiro is expected to leave the club after this season. So, the Red Devils will be needing a midfielder to plug the hole in their midfield.
The emergence of Kobbie Mainoo has done a lot but the young star is only 18. There’s only so much that he can do for the team and they need someone to take the load off him.
Man City will probably be moving in on the player, so United will need to be quick to complete the signing of Dan Ashworth so that he can help them get Guimaraes.
