Manchester United and Barcelona are two teams that have both struggled to meet expectations this season. While Erik ten Hag has failed to put on a dominant showing, Xavi Hernandez’s men have been dealing with a bunch of injuries.

However, the Catalan club has one thing going for them, which is their La Masia graduates. Some very exciting young stars have made breakthroughs this season. Fermin Lopez, 16-year-old Lamine Yamal, and 17-year-old Pau Cubarsi are the most impressive out of the bunch.

Cubarsi was even named MOTM for his excellent performance during Barcelona’s UCL RO16 clash against Napoli. The 17-year-old won 100% of his tackles and duels that game and had the visitors on lock.

Now, Premier League teams have started to notice this young talent. As reported by Spanish publication Sport, Manchester United will be keeping an eye on Cubarsi as he continues to grow.

He cannot be signed by a Premier League club until he turns 18. However, it doesn’t even seem like the Spanish national has any intentions to leave Barcelona. Both Cunarsi and the Catalan side have a good relationship and wish to settle on a better contract.

Barca has truly got some gems on their hands thanks to La Masia. If their starlets develop well the team could very easily reclaim their former glory.
