Manchester United midfielder, Mason Mount has been unfortunate during his first season at Old Trafford. The Red Devils paid a sum of £55m back in July 2023 to acquire the 25-year-old from Chelsea.

Much to the disappointment of both sides, Mount has only been able to make 12 appearances this season due to injuries. The English midfielder was thought to be the creative spark that was desperately needed in United’s middle line.

Unfortunately, his time on the sidelines has not allowed him to do much at all. However, Mount is now close to a comeback and could return as soon as Sunday to face off against Liverpool. He made a post on Instagram to announce that he is happy to be training with the team.

Manchester United stars, Harry Maguire and Antony seemed to be happy about his return. Both left comments under his post to celebrate his return. Following their win against Everton, the Red Devils seem to be in good spirits.

They got a much-needed win and are now close to being back to full strength. With both Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund returning soon, Manchester United will be much stronger.

Every game from now on has to be played like a final according to their coach, Erik ten Hag. If the Red Devils slip up again, the Dutchman could end up being out of a job at the end of the season.
