Bundesliga star, Luca Netz is being targeted by both Manchester United and Arsenal
As reported by Football.london, Borussia Monchengladbach left-back, Luca Netz is on the radar of both Manchester United and Arsenal. In 25 appearances across all competitions, the German national has recorded five assists for his team.
Transfermarkt values the player at £9m, which would be a bargain for someone of his quality. The Red Devils have been in desperate need of a left back since Tyrell Malacia has been dealing with injuries all season long.
Their second choice Luke Shaw has also picked up two injuries this season which has caused him to miss a total of 24 games. United are often called inconsistent and their injury struggles could be playing a big role in that.
Erik ten Hag plays almost every game with a new squad, this is not ideal. So, having a new left-back who can perform consistently will be a big boost for the Old Trafford squad.
However, Premier League rivals Arsenal will not make it easy to sign Netz. His ability to get the ball forward and penetrate the final third is highly rated. Moreover, the 20-year-old is an excellent defender and can cover ground very quickly.
So, the two teams will have to put up an attractive offer. While £9m is the projected price the Bundesliga side could draw both Premier League giants into a bidding war.
