Two Everton stars who featured in the Toffees’ 2-0 win against Manchester United are on the Red Devils’ radar
Manchester United’s win against Everton this week seems to have given them some clarity on their plans for the future. Two of the Toffees stars, Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana were impressive at Old Trafford.
Now, Manchester Evening News reports that the Red Devils are interested in signing both players during the summer. The two will reportedly be made a part of their plans to rebuild the squad during the summer.
Manchester United needs improvements at all levels and getting both Branthwaite and Onana would be a good start. the 21-year-old centre-back will provide a big boost to their defensive line and his skills are proven as he was a thorn in the side of Erik ten Hag’s attackers all game long.
On the other hand, Onana would be an excellent replacement for Casemiro who might end up leaving the club this summer. The Red Devils are in the mood for a proper rebuild and they already have some excellent young talents.
Both Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are expected to be an important part of their future. A couple of additional youngsters should set the team up well for the future. However, their middle line is the one that needs the most attention at the moment.
Rasmus Hojlund has shown that he can hold things down on the attacking end. However, the Red Devils fail to create a lot of opportunities through open play. We only ever see the team capitalise on counterattacks or lucky breaks.
Hopefully, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team will be able to make the right decisions this summer.
