Manchester United legend has raised concerns regarding the recent form of Casemiro
Manchester United star, Casemiro has struggled to find his form this season. He was incredible during his first season at Old Trafford. Some even say that he was the player that Erik ten Hag had all during the 2022/23 campaign.
However, The Brazilian’s second season did not get off to the start that he was hoping for. He scored the winner against Nottingham Forest last week but has largely been inconsistent with his performances. He also missed most of the first half due to an injury.
This has Manchester United legend, Andy Cole concerned. The former English striker recently voiced these concerns while speaking to Betfred. Let’s have a look at what he had to say.
“So if you’re such a big influence one season and then you’re struggling the next, then of course everybody’s going to ask questions.”
Cole added that Casemiro isn’t the only Manchester United player whose performance has dipped this season. But, he is being criticized because the people know of his quality and expect great things from him.
However, it would do Cole well to remember that the Brazilian is now 32 years old. His pace is not what it used to be and returning after a long time on the sidelines hasn’t done him any good.
His performance against Nottingham Forest was a good indication of things to come. Casemiro might be slow to recover but his performance levels have started to slowly pick up.
