Manchester United need to sign someone to help Rasmus Hojlund develop better says Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano, while talking to Caught Offside said that Manchester United despite having Rasmus Hojlund are in desperate need of a new no. 9. He believes that a new striker is important to help the ‘developing’ Dane.
The 21-year-old has already made great strides this season and was the team’s most prolific producer before he got injured. He contracted a muscle injury which could be attributed to all the playing time that he has had to shoulder.
United don’t have a lot of backup for Hojlund, so the Dane has had to play almost every game that he can. This is where the need for a new striker stems.
As shown by his resurgence during the second half of the season, Hojlund is more than capable of figuring things out on his own. However, the 21-year-old does need someone to help take the pressure off him.
A new striker will mean that Rasmus will not be expected to play 90 minutes every game. This will be crucial for recovery and seeing another striker in action inside the United system will help the Dane figure out more ways to be a threat on attack.
Romano is a world-renowned journalist so his advice should not be taken lightly. But, it goes without saying that Man United had this figured out on their own long before Fabrizio asked them to.
The team has constantly been surrounded by talk regarding a new striker. They were even linked with Karim Benzema and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in January.

Now, his lack of backup has started to affect Hojlund’s help. This means that the team will more than likely be prioritising the signing of a striker during the summer.
The people consider the Dane to be the future of Manchester United. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team will most likely take notice of his sorry situation and rectify it long before the new season kicks off.
