Manchester United are gearing up to take on Arsenal for the signature of exceptional French star

According to 90 Min (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are in the running to sign 22-year-old Michael Olise still, they will be facing some fierce competition from PL rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS will have their work cut out for them during the summer, the new owners are expected to make improvements at all levels of the clubs and Michael Olise seems to be their target for improvements up front.

Olise has been exceptional this season recording six goals and three assists in just 11 appearances. These are numbers that the Red Devils would be grateful to have on their team.

When it comes to Arsenal competing with Manchester United for the signature of Olise, the Gunners might pull ahead. Mikel Arteta’s team will most probably be playing in European competitions next season.

On the other hand, Erik ten Hag and his team are still slowly trying to climb the Premier League ladder as they hope for a top-four finish. The French star will undoubtedly want to play in the UCL and this might take him away from United.

However, the season isn’t over yet and the Red Devils have already started to make great strides towards their end goal. With a little bit of perseverance and consistency, the top four will not be out of their sight for too long.
