Jose Mourinho has taken a shot at those who succeeded him at Manchester United
From the looks of it, Jose Mourinho hasn’t been impressed by anyone who has succeeded him at Manchester United. Why would he be when no one who has succeeded him has found the level of success that he did?
During his unfortunately brief stint with the Red Devils, the Portuguese manager won the Europa League in 2017, and the EFL Cup in 2017. He was succeeded by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who unfortunately did not win any silverware for the club.
Now, the team is currently being overlooked by Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman might have faltered during his second season, but his first season with the club was a dream start.
Erik ten Hag won the Carabao Cup and even led Manchester United to a top-three finish in the Premier League. This season the team has been horrendous, but they have slowly started to come back to life.
The Dutchman can still help the Red Devils lift the FA Cup, and the team is also in contention for a top-four finish in the PL. If Erik ten Hag can pull it off, he can tie Mourinho for the number of trophies won at Man United.
The Portuguese still seems to be high off his Europa League win with the team, and says took a shot at the other managers by saying no one has done better than him since he left. To be fair to him, he is correct. However, he might have to tone down the arrogance if Ten Hag can lead this team to some silverware this season.
