Sir Alex Ferguson doesn’t believe that Tottenham will win a Premier League title before Man United
15 years after the day that Sir Alex Ferguson said ‘Lads, it’s Tottenham’ to his Manchester United team, the Old Trafford icon has once again taken a dig at the Lilywhites.
When asked whether the Spurs will ever win a Premier League title, the legendary coach couldn’t help but laugh. While talking to Metro, he says that even his United team struggles against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City, so Tottenham surely can’t win it.
However, it seems like he is failing to compare the performances of both teams. Going off of this season alone, more people have doubted the Red Devils’ chances at a top-four finish than the Spurs.
Moreover, the excellent young core that Postecoglou has started to build at Tottenham has shown more promise in comparison to Erik ten Hag and his exciting prospects.
If one had to pit the two teams against each other in their current states The Lilywhites will surely come out looking way stronger than Manchester United.
However, the dynamic could change overnight if Erik ten Hag and his team can successfully pull off their second-half comeback this season.
