Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a summer deal for exciting Juventus talent

Juventus star Dan Huijsen is creating waves with his performances on loan at AS Roma and it is no surprise that the Premier League duo of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on his development.

Just 18, the Dutch youth international is making a name for himself in Italy. He moved to Turin in 2021, initially spending time in the club’s reserves. Huijsen made his senior debut for the Bianconeri in 2023 and was loaned out to Roma last summer.

The centre-back has made seven appearances for the Romans across all competitions, scoring once in the process. While he might not be a regular, there is enough evidence to suggest that the player could develop into a world class star.

Valued at around €30m, Huijsen will not come cheap. But should he meet his potential, United could secure themselves a top talent for years to come. Erik ten Hag could very well use the youngster to put together his Red Devils’ roster for the future.

According to TuttoJuve, the Italians are not keen to sell the player next summer or anytime soon. They have him locked to a contract until 2027, giving them leverage in negotiations.

With Raphael Varane’s future unclear and Lisandro Martinez’s injury issues, we would be wise to bring in a long term addition in the position. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are decent but might not be privy to long-term plans at Old Trafford.

Tottenham have also raided the Italian top flight in recent years to great effect. Under Ange Postecoglou, they are putting together a formidable and young outfit. Beating them to Huijsen would be a double win for us in the long run.
