Erik ten Hag reaffirms his faith in Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho has been one of the success stories at Manchester United this season and the Argentine is hitting a purple patch of form at the right time as the Red Devils aim to salvage their 2023/24 season.

The 19-year-old’s potential was well known around Old Trafford and he gave us a timely reminder of it earlier this season against Everton. The overhead goal that night saw him being compared to Wayne Rooney and threatened to be a pivotal point in what is now a breakout season.

Garnacho has enjoyed a fine run of minutes on the field under Erik ten Hag. The Dutchman has an excellent record of developing youth and could help develop the Argentine attacker into a pivotal part of his plans at the Theatre of Dreams.

Following his goal against Everton, Garnacho went five league games without finding the back of the net. To his credit, Ten Hag continued to give him regular minutes and the impact is now visible.

The 19-year-old has four goals and an assist in his last five Premier League games, a remarkable run of form that has aided us in the push for a top four spot. With still much to play for this season, Garnacho’s return to form could not have happened at a better time.

“They just needed time and team supporting them. We made a lot of adjustments in our way of playing, that’s why our talents are developing”.

“I was confident from the start. They have potential to do great things”

It is no coincidence that our fortunes have picked up since Garnacho and Hojlund found their feet. With goals flowing, it has taken the pressure off the rest of the side who can now express themselves freely.

The duo could pave the way for United’s attack in the upcoming decade and it is fair to say that the early signs are positive. Perhaps what is the most exciting aspect of it is that neither player are close to achieving their peak anytime soon. We could be in for a very special journey as they develop into world class stars at the Theatre of Dreams.
