David Moyes believes his team, West Ham played better than Manchester United despite their crushing defeat
Manchester United swept the floor with David Moyes and his West Ham United. The Red Devils took the lead within the first 25 minutes and Alejandro Garnacho added two more during the second half to make it 3-0.
Erik ten Hag will be happy with his team’s performance. Especially now that they’re finally beginning to look like a force to be reckoned with. However, David Moyes doesn’t rate the Red Devils too highly.
The Scottish manager believes that West Ham played better football than Man United. He also stated that what the scoreline showed was ‘incorrect’ and could be a little bit misleading for some.
Here’s what Moyes had to say after the conclusion of this highly anticipated matchup. (h/t BBC)
“No I don’t think the scoreline was correct. Our performance in the main was much better. I am pleased with that but obviously not pleased with different aspects, we didn’t finish chances.”
The Scottish manager then went on to say that overall his team played better and that his players’ performances were better than that of Ten Hag’s. Just cause he said it doesn’t mean his true.
As far as individual performances go, Lisandro Martinez was the best defender on the field before he took a fall during the second half. Moreover, neither side’s midfielders could match the brilliance of Bruno Fernandes.
As far as the attack goes, the impact of Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund was far above West Ham’s forward line.
