Manchester United and Liverpool to butt heads for La Liga winger who is said to be Mo Salah’s replacement
According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United and Liverpool want to get their hands on La Liga winger, Lamine Yamal. The 16-year-old has been impressive during his time in Barcelona.
Over 29 appearances for the Catalan club, Yamal scored three goals while recording five assists. The Spanish winger’s skills go way beyond what the stat sheet can portray.
He is fast, has excellent command over the ball and knows exactly which pass to pick out. People have been so impressed with the youngster that he has even been compared to Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.
The Catalan Club has a special talent on their hands and it is highly unlikely that they will be willing to let him go. Manchester United will have to put together quite the package to land Lamine Yamal.
His current contract with Barcelona will run till 2026, with that in mind there is absolutely no pressure on the club to sell the 16-year-old. However, Barca have a ton of debt on their heads.
With this in mind Manchester United or Liverpool could tempt the Spanish club to sell Yamal by making a ridiculous offer. However, the fans will probably riot if the club sells him.
