The already poor attacking line of Manchester United has taken another blow

Manchester United just can’t seem to catch a break this season. Their already long list of injuries has been extended and the latest addition is 28-year-old Anthony Martial.

The Frenchman has undergone a groin surgery, he will be out for the next 10 weeks as he recovers. Right when the team was planning on mounting a comeback they have suffered another blow.

Martial’s health has surely been a cause for concern to the Old Trafford squad this season. He has been out since mid-December after he contracted a sickness bug. It must be frustrating for the 28-year-old to be dealing with all these health issues at once.

However, it isn’t confirmed whether Martial was even a part of Erik ten Hag’s plans for the rest of the season. His form has been abysmal, through 19 appearances the French forward has only recorded two goals for the team.

Moreover, Man United haven’t even opted to extend his contract by an additional year. Now, with his health being such a big concern on top of his poor form, it is becoming more and more likely that the Red Devils will move on from the player at the end of the season.

It wasn’t that long ago that Martial’s arrival gave hope to the Manchester United fans. However, his poor form over the years has made him somewhat of an annoyance to the fans.

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is planning to see out the remainder of his contract at the club.
